Director of College and Career Readiness

Pam Knapp earned a Bachelors of Arts from the University of the Pacific in 1987 in both Psychology and Mass Communications.  She went back to Pacific and earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Counseling and Psychology in 1996.

Pam has worked at Linden High School since 1999.  Prior to coming to Linden she worked for 12 years at Humphreys College as an Admissions Counselor and Career Placement Director.  She then went to work at San Joaquin Delta College as the CalWORKs Director, implementing the state and federal welfare-to-work program.  After CalWORKs, Pam became the Tech Prep Director, working closely with area high schools on Career Technical Education and pathways to success at Delta College.  While at Linden High School Pam has been successful in writing and receiving a variety of grants, both public and private, to assist with the start up for several important programs, including the Laptop Lending Library, Online, Community College dual enrollment program, Career Faires, and the Every 15 Minutes Program.  Pam is happiest when helping students realize what path they would like to pursue upon graduating from high school.

Pam met her husband, Larry, while attending UOP - they were next-door neighbors, living in South-West Hall. They moved to Linden in 1996 to raise their 2 children, Howard and Catherine.  The sole reason they moved to Linden was to raise their children in a small community that provides a strong public school system. Both children graduated from Linden HS. Howard went on to graduate from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and Catherine from UCLA (Go Bruins!). Pam thoroughly enjoys working with the students in Linden and appreciates the supportive community.
